Military Talk: Our Christmas Holiday, 2016

holiday-vacay-pintThis past Christmas was our 3rd Christmas spent together. But this year was definitely the most difficult. He had just gotten home on December 23rd, and it was a constant struggle finding time for just ourselves. We were able to celebrate Christmas and his birthday (NYE) together and that was really important for me. He wasn’t able to come home in time for my birthday (Dec. 14) but being able to spend time with him for 11 days definitely made up for that.

My 2017 Goals (+ A 2016 Recap)

2017-goals-templateI think a lot of people would agree that 2016 wasn’t the best. But, for me I think it was a wonderful year. It was a year of growth and maturity. Don’t get me wrong, there were plenty difficult days and nights spent crying. But overall I have learned so much and I think 2016 was incredible.

The time is finally here! You get to travel many, many miles to see your loved one. The best part? Getting off that plane knowing you’re in the same city again. The worst part? How much money it costs to see your significant other. It’s not easy being in a long distance relationship, and I think this is the part I struggle with the most.
